Drummer and Song Writer, Élage mixes traditional music from his home country Senegal and modern music. The result is a sensational music inspired from his African roots. As a direct descendant of a griot family, he started playing the traditional drums of Senegal— five different types of drums named Sabaars—and also the Djémbé and the Talking Drum, at the age of eight.

In 2002, he met the Mighty POPO and has performed with him often, ever since. Together, they have performed everywhere in the country. In 2004, Élage traveled with Popo for a tour throughout Canada. He has also been involved in special events at the Canadian Museum of Civilization (Children’s Museum) and in fund raising activities for AMREF Canada, UNESCO Canada – fight against slavery, and others. Since 2002, Élage has worked in close cooperation with his brother and friend Abdou Sy (member of the band Jokko). Together they mix traditional music from Sénégal and modern music, while working on the upcoming album Askane.
