Canada's most popular roots rock band, Blue Rodeo has become a veritable institution in Canada, while establishing cult status in the United States and Europe. Their sound is a blend of country, folk, and rock, with a definite pop appeal that underlines their devotion to later-period Beatles in addition to expected touchstones like Gram Parsons, Bob Dylan, and the Band. Consistency is the hallmark of Blue Rodeo's output, both in terms of sound and quality (thanks to the song-writing team of vocalists/guitarists Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor). That, in turn, explains the band’s considerable longevity and ever-growing fan base.
