RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest does not accept unsolicited musician submissions of any kind, excluding those of local/Ottawa region artists.

2012 RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest Local Artist Submissions
STRICT DEADLINE IS JANUARY 30TH AT MIDNIGHT
Our objective is to select artists - in accordance with Ottawa Bluesfest’s artistic mandate - who live in and actively engage in the Ottawa-area music scene.
Please pay special attention to submission requirements. Incomplete/inaccurate submissions will not be reviewed.
We receive hundreds of submissions each year . . . make it easy and enjoyable for us to choose you!
Due to the very high volume of submissions we process, please understand that we’re unable to respond to
all applicants at this date.
Submission Requirements
1. Artists/bands must be located primarily in Ottawa, Ontario or surrounding region (west of the
Quebec-Ontario border, south of Maniwaki, east of Petawawa, north of
Brockville). Artists located in Kingston, Montreal, (etc.) unfortunately do not
qualify as local artists.
2. Artists/bands must be full-time musicians or otherwise established as professional musicians.
Factors such as CD releases, booked/headlined shows, group duration, etc. will
be considered.
3. Artists/bands who perform and/or record original material will be given preference.
4. Artists/bands who are involved in the local music community (e.g., music education
activities) will also be given preference.

Please note that spelling, grammar and general organization do count - show us that you have put thought and care into your
submission.
